World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A  boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure what can be improved upon a reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level requires a different amount of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can become more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is very important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The  item upgrader  allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor, and trinkets) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting back to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost mentioned above.
